Desired placement location: Currently in Bossier City, LA. The owner is willing to drive approx. Eight hrs. to transport, but willing to transport anywhere or accept transport assistance from foster.
The Air Force is relocating the owner to Korea, then to the UK.

- Will do best in a home with other dogs BUT take caution with Alphas & medium-sized dogs

Are you familiar with David on Schitt’s Creek? Well, Tucker is David in dog form! He wants so BADLY to be loved!! He also prefers to be inside with his people, and if he is left outside for more than 10 minutes, he is not happy. He doesn’t do well on slick/wood floors and will slip and slide and otherwise look like a baby deer as he tries to get his footing. He is also a bit awkward in that he may not have the best depth perception and may bump into you walking down the hallway. This diva will demand attention from you, and if he doesn’t get it, he assertively tries to cuddle with you and put his head on your lap. He will always be underfoot in the kitchen as a toddler, wondering what you are doing, and btw, he loves ice cream. He also loves wearing sweaters and gets a big goofy grin if you compliment him and tell him he looks adorable. He hates the rain, grimaces in the tub, and will seek out the comfiest bed/pillow/blanket to nap in. This all DOES sound like David, right?)
Health-wise, Tucker suffers from allergies and will need someone who is willing to take him to the vet every 20-30 days for his allergy shot or be ready to learn to administer allergy shots (a quick injection under the skin at the back of his neck). Remember, his owner pays for all veterinary treatment and his prescription food and meds. He will need to be taken to the vet towards the end of his foster term to begin receiving vaccines for his trip abroad to the UK. Tucker suffers from anxiety and will pace for a while before settling down. He gets nervous in the car, but he loves going to new places.
Tucker’s only cautions are that when he is first in an unfamiliar environment, he becomes disoriented when sleeping and doesn’t like being startled awake; he may growl and snap, preparing to defend himself, but he has never bitten anyone. Once he is used to his new surroundings, this issue resolves itself. Tucker is a bit of an oddball when it comes to other dogs. He does better with large dogs; many medium-sized dogs have tried to dominate him, and he doesn’t like it and will put them in their place (he never starts the confrontation). He typically ignores small dogs EXCEPT for puppies, which he LOVES. He also feels a sense of ownership/protectiveness in his house and will bark loudly when people walk by.
