GUNNER FUN FACTS:

Gunner is an energetic & playful boy.

For exercise, he looooooves to run! In fact, his owner will drive the car alongside Gunner while he is running down the side of the road. And if his owner goes too slow for Gunner’s taste, he will stop running and bark as if to say, “What the heck are you doing, slowpoke!” Once Gunnar has worked out his excess energy from a run, he is obedient.

His foster will need to be patient with him as he is still at a stage of his training where he needs patience, but he’s doing great and seeing progress weekly. He doesn’t have accidents in the house so long as he is taken out every 4 hours (when not crated). He still likes to chew on various items left around the house, so his owner advises crating him when not home to ensure he doesn’t destroy things.

While Gunner is perfectly fine around little kids, take caution as he may try to bolt out the door when in a new environment. He’s also a strong dog and might accidentally knock a small child over when playing.

Gunner is not an aggressive dog at all and needs to avoid alphas as he will not defend himself. Otherwise, he’s great among other dogs who don’t mind his size, though he’s occasionally naughty at stealing their toys (see the pic with the duck? It’s not his but his B.F F.’s, lol).

How clever is this boy? Super smart! Among other things, he’s bilingual in English and Spanish! He also plays a true game of Hide & Seek with his owner – one day, Gunner couldn’t find his dad after looking for him for 10 mins (dad was hiding in the back of his Dodge truck). Gunner then realized where his dad was and jumped up and into the truck (over 5′ high!) and scared his dad by landing on his butt! Lol.

Please consider giving this awesome Pittsburgh Steelers fan a temporary home.
