Meet Jax! This adorable, 3-year-old AmStaff-Pit Mix is looking for a loving foster home from 10/16/2022-5/1/2023 while his owner deploys overseas with the Army. While Jax’s owner may be able to board him during her deployment, he’s a loving, sometimes anxious guy who prefers to be with people and other animals and she knows he’d do so much better and be happier in a home.
Can you help Jax find a comfortable place to crash? He is currently located in Decatur, GA and his owner is able to transport him up to 4 hours one way.

Fun Facts
3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier-Pit Mix Jax is a sweet, loving boy who has never met a stranger – he’s ready for a pet and a cuddle from every new friend he sees! Jax loves to play with other dogs and truly does best when around people and other animals, so if you have a home where one or more people are frequently there, or better yet a dog buddy is around, Jax will join the fold nicely.
Jax loves to play and be active, so space to move around would be great for him, but he is used to apartment life as well! Jax is leash-trained and good with strangers, so trips outside will do him good.
A rare barker and fully potty-trained, Jax can occasionally get anxious and does take a daily medication to help with this, but if left alone outside for too long he may jump over a fence to be closer to a person or another dog. Jax has gone through behavioral training and knows his commands, like sit, stay, lay, and will come when called in a fenced yard.
