Grant is starting his career with the US Navy and will be attending basic and school from 7/10/2019 – 8/30/2020. Grant is hoping to find a loving and responsible home for his sweet girl, Sadie, near their home in Denver, CO.
Sadie is a 5 year old spayed female Plott hound. Sadie is microchipped, about 65lbs, and up to date on her vaccinations, heart worm prevention, and flea/tick prevention. Sadie is leash trained and crate trained, and she knows commands for sit, stay, come, and high five. Grant rescued Sadie from a local shelter a week before she was scheduled to be euthanized two years ago. They’ve been best friends ever since. Sadie is sometimes fearful of men, especially men with facial hair, but she is never aggressive. She may just need a little extra TLC when being introduced to a new man. Sadie gets along well with calm, confident dogs, but doesn’t have much experience with cats or kids. Sadie is a bit of an escape artist, and can learn how to open doors. She will need a foster with experience keeping a smart and energetic pup.
