Amy is a member of the US Navy preparing for a two year assignment overseas from 9/13/2019 – 9/15/2021. Amy was all set to bring her pup, Jackson, along with the family, but according to new flight restrictions, he’s too tall to travel by air. Now Amy is scrambling to find a temporary home for Jackson near their home in Greenville, NC.

Jackson is a 2 year old, 60lbs, neutered male lab/hound mix. Jackson is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Jackson is good with kids and other dogs, but doesn’t have any experience with cats. Amy says that Jackson is a happy-go-lucky guy who loves everyone: “He’s the sweetest little guy with the best attitude. He’s literally always happy. I love when he looks at me, cocks his head to the side and furrows his brow when I’m talking to him like he really wants to understand.” Jackson knows commands for sit, stay, lay down, shake, kennel, come, up, off, leave it, and wait.
