Leroy is a senior citizen in Reading, PA, currently undergoing treatment for physical illness in the area. His extended family has been doing their best to stop in and spend time with his two cocker spaniels, Charlie and Beckett, but the boys are not getting the amount of attention they truly need. Leroy’s family has reached out on his behalf to see if any of our fosters in the Reading area would be willing to care for Charlie and Beckett starting ASAP – 10/31/2019.
Charlie is a 5 year old, 40lbs, neutered male cocker spaniel. Charlie is up to date on his vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Charlie walks well on leash and knows commands for sit. Charlie gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction, but we’re hoping to find a foster home for this pair where they might be the only pets in the household. Charlie can be quite a barker when strangers come into the house, but settles quickly. He loves to play with balls, especially golf balls that he finds in his yard!
Beckett is a 13 year old, 30 lbs, neutered male cocker spaniel. Beckett is also up to date on his vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Beckett walks well on his leash and can sit. Beckett is the cool, calm, and collected part of this duo, and is a real lover. Beckett will bark if Charlie is barking, but also settles down quickly. Beckett is easy to pick up and pet. The ideal foster home for these boys would be one without small children where they can receive some much needed structure and socialization. Can you give Charlie and Beckett a place to stay?
