Senior Airman Wright is a member of the US Air Force preparing for an 8-month assignment overseas from 10/1/2019 – 6/1/2020. Her current station is very far from family or friends, and she has no one to look after her little dog, Tango, while she’s away. Tango is currently in Hampton, VA.
Tango is a 4 year old neutered male shih tzu, and only about 15 lbs. This little guy is microchipped, crate trained, leash trained, up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm preventative. Tango knows commands for sit, stay, back up (if at the door,) come here, get it (when playing fetch, point at his toy and he will bring it to you.) Ms. Wright describes Tango as a mild-mannered, sweet pup who loves other friendly dogs, and does well with cats and teens. The best foster family for Tango would be one that would make him feel safe during thunderstorms, play fetch with him in the yard, and snuggle with him on the couch.
