Oso needs a foster in CA!

Amanda is a member of the US Marines who has recently had to move back into barracks housing.  Amanda is hoping to find a foster for her dog, Oso, while she’s on base for the next 2 years.  Oso and Amanda are currently in Vista, CA and looking for care from 8/31/2019 – 6/1/2021.

Oso is a 2 year old neutered male Husky/German Shepherd mix.  Oso is about 50lbs, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention.  Oso is leash and crate trained, but has a bit of separation anxiety and take CBD oil to relax him when left alone during the day.  Oso knows commands for sit, stay, down, and up.  Amanda describes him as “too smart” – he’ll pick up tricks from other dogs he’s around, and he’s very food-motivated.  Oso does well with other dogs, but has a high prey drive and should not be kept around cats, rabbits, or other small prey animals.  Oso would do best in a home with another dog and a fenced in backyard to play in, or with a family who is active and would take him for walks and hikes.
