Nakia is a citizen in Spring, TX, who is currently going through rigorous cancer treatment. Nakia and her family are doing their best to care for her young daughter and their beautiful senior rottweiler, Penelope, during this time. Due to the nature of her treatment, Nakia has been unable to give Penelope the walks and attention she needs during the day. Nakia is hoping to find a wonderful foster for her Penelope near their home starting as soon as possible and ending 5/1/2020. Can you offer this sweet girl a place to stay for just three months?
Penelope is an 11 year old spayed female rottweiler and is about 80 lbs. She is up to date on her vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Penelope is crate trained, but has not been leash trained. She knows commands for sit and Penelope, go home (into her crate.) She hasn’t had experience living with other pets, but she is great with young kids. Penelope has hip dysplasia and enjoys a soft bed to lay on during the day. Nakia says, “She is an amazing companion for me and my six-year-old daughter and we love her very much. We just want someone to take good care of her while I am sick and I pray that I will be able to get her back very soon.”
