Monica is a member of the US Army and is preparing for basic training which will take her away from her Springfield, VA, home from 2/1/2020 – 9/1/2020. Monica has already found a coworker to watch one of her kitties, but is now looking for a PACT foster to help with the other two: Eli and Lola.
Eli is an 8 year old neutered male domestic short haired tabby cat. Eli is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Eli is a shy guy, and will hide in a new environment. He loves to hang out with his sister and chase shoe laces or hair ties – but be careful, he may try to eat those, too! Eli has lived with dogs before, but being a shy guy, he prefers dog companions that keep to their own space. Monica says: “Eli is a very sweet shy guy. He has to be around his sister or his brother to feel safe. If he’s alone he gets very scared and hides. He won’t come out from where he’s hiding during the day. The first week or so he will most likely hide and won’t come out until he feels safe. Very loving, just very attached to me.”
Lola is an 8 year old spayed female domestic short haired white cat. Lola is also microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Lola has a condition called hyperesthesia, and takes a pill to manage it in her food each day. Lola does best with her brothers for animal companions, but will be fine with any critter that gives her personal space. She loves to chat with her human companions, be pets, and sit on laps. Monica says: “She is a very sweet girl. Wants to be pet and fed all the time. Previous owner was in the air force and couldn’t keep her when she got out. She loves to chat about her day when given the chance.”
