Catherine and her partner Brent are both members of the US Army preparing for an overseas assignment which will take them away from their Magnolia, DE, home from 3/21/2020 – 9/1/2020. Catherine and Brent have no family or friends who are able or willing to care for their babies, Maya and Daisy, while they are away serving our country.
Maya is a 1 year old 45 lbs spayed female shepherd mix. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. Maya is crate and leash trained, and knows commands for sit, stay, lay down, fetch, and come. Maya may chew inappropriately when stressed, but when properly exercised and with her buddy Daisy, she’s a great dog. Catherine says, “Maya is a beautiful dog that is eager to please. She can entertain herself and just wants to know that she’s being a “good girl.””
Daisy is a 3 year old 50 lbs spayed female coonhound. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. Daisyis crate and working on her leash manners, and knows commands for sit, stay, lay down, and come. Daisy has the typical hound dog singing voice, and may bay from stress or when left alone in her kennel. Once she becomes accustomed to a new routine, she settles in. Catherine says of Daisy: “Daisy is THE biggest cuddle bug and a total diva. Her crazy coonhound antics/ears will have you giggling all day and snuggling up with her at any point you can!”
