Niklas is a member of the US Navy and will be going on a 6 month overseas assignment from 4/7/2020 – 10/10/2020. Niklas’ friends are all allergic to cats or have dogs in their homes, making it difficult for him to find the right foster for his two cute cats, Arthas and LeRoy. The boys need a foster near Oak Harbor, WA, and PACT is hoping to find them the perfect home!
Arthas is a 5 year old 12 lbs neutered male domestic short haired tuxedo cat. He is up to date on his vaccinations and microchipped. Niklas says, “He loves watching Tv and Video games, he absolutely loves cuddling and loves playing (especially with a laser). He does this cute thing where he doesn’t meow correctly he does this little chirp and he has a tuxedo with beautiful whiskers that pop out against his black fur and has incredible green eyes.”
LeRoy is a 6 year old 10 lbs neutered male domestic short haired black cat. LeRoy is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations. LeRoy was rescued as a stray by Niklas, who saved him while he was being attacked by a large dog on the street. Niklas pulled the dog off of LeRoy and rushed him to a veterinary hospital. The vets found that LeRoy had a broken sternum among other injuries sustained in the attack, but due to this break, LeRoy has chronic pain which is managed with daily oral medication. LeRoy typically leans to the right when he’s walking, and may need to be picked up to be put on the couch as he is unable to jump due to the old injury. He is of course afraid of dogs, but a very loving cat. Niklas says, “Even though LeRoy has had a rough life he is the most loving cat and will never leave your side (unless he is startled which he can be easily startled). He sleeps a lot and absolutely loves cuddles and body warmth. He just wants to be loved and taken care of.”
