Savanna is a US Marine and has been reassigned to a new station that has strict breed restrictions. Unfortunately these restrictions are preventing her from keeping her dog, Diesel, on base with her. Diesel will need a foster until Savanna can be reassigned to a new location next year, from 4/1/2020 – 4/1/2021.
Diesel is a 4 year old, 70 lbs, neutered male pit bull terrier. Diesel is up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Diesel has allergies to grain, rubber, and plastic. Diesel is leash and crate trained, and knows commands for sit and shake. Diesel gets along great with cats, but should not be in a home with another dog. Savanna says, “Diesel is a big dog but he loves to cuddle. He wants to be on you at all times which can get a little much, but he swears he’s a lap dog. He’s a giant baby at heart and it’s one of my favorite things about him. His favorite toys are ropes because he loves tug-o-war! He also loves to wander around outside (on a leash) and picks up the biggest stick he can find whenever he is ready to go inside. He loves chewing on sticks, but of course, I keep this at a minimum.”
