Robert is a veteran and citizen in Gainesville, VA, who is undergoing cancer treatment during unprecedented times. The next step for his treatment will be a transplant. He has been able to care for his dog, Sasha, through chemotherapy and radiation, but a transplant will mean 3 months of specialized care for Robert – and that means Sasha will need a safe and loving place to stay. Right now, Robert’s transplant date is still TBD, but we want to get a head start in finding Sasha her perfect match foster home. Sasha means the world to Robert and gives him love, support, and hope every day. Please help us find a way to keep their beautiful bond safe during Robert’s recovery!
Sasha is a 4 year old, 55 lbs, spayed female Labrador Retriever. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Sasha is a medium energy pup who walks well on leash and would love to be taken on walks with her foster family. She has never lived with other dogs or cats, and so should be slowly introduced to other pets in her foster home. Robert reports that she has been good with other dogs on play dates. Sasha enjoys spending time outside on a sunny porch and playing frisbee in the yard.
