Tyler is a member of the US Marines and is preparing for a year long deployment starting 6/1/2020 – 6/30/2021. His immediate and extended family is unable to watch his dog, Oakley during this time. Oakley and Tyler are currently in Oceanside, CA, and would love to speak with and meet potential fosters ASAP.
Oakley is a 5 year old 90 lbs neutered male German Shepherd. Oakley is up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention. Oakley is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, stay, paw, down, kisses, and heel. Oakley sadly had a bad encounter with another large male dog at the dog park and is now typically pretty wary of big males/alpha dogs. He generally does well with females after an introduction. He has lived with both cats and dogs in the past, and does well with people. Tyler says Oakley is a friendly and super fluffy guy who loves to give kisses and have a nice butt rub! The perfect foster family for Oakley would spend time with him outside and give him plenty of walks.
