Velma is an Army Veteran living in Atlanta, GA. Velma and her family just suffered a house fire and lost almost everything. Gotti, the family dog, saved Velma’s life by physically pulling her out from under fallen debris during debris. Their dog is a true hero, and Velma’s son’s support animal. Unfortunately, the family is staying at a hotel until they can find another home to rent, and the hotel will not allow Gotti to stay with them. PACT is hoping to find this hero dog a safe place to stay while the family finds a new home where they can all be safe and happy. Gotti will need a foster starting ASAP – 9/10/2020.
Gotti is a 8 year old, 80 lbs, male pit bull mix. He is up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Gotti is leash and crate trained and knows commands for sit, stay, lay down, come, and heal. Gotti unfortunately doesn’t do well with other pets, but he loves all people and kids! If you have room in your heart and home for a big cuddle bug, please consider giving Gotti a place to stay for the summer.
