April is a member of the US Army who is currently overseas on assignment until 2/1/2021. April had left her sweet dog, Hazel, with a couple in her home town of Charlotte, NC. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, the couple will be moving to TX on 6/1/2020, and will not be able to take Hazel with them. April and Hazel are in DESPERATE need of help. We will need a dedicated foster home to give Hazel the life she deserves until she can be reunited with April in February.
Hazel is a 5 year old, 85 lbs, spayed female Boxer mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick (Triflexus) and heartworm prevention. Hazel loves kids, and women especially, though she does well with men, too! Hazel plays well with other dogs and has lived with cats without complaint. She walks nicely on leash and knows commands for sit, place, come, off, heel, paw, and roll over. Hazel can be nervous in the car, and at the vet’s office, but who could blame her? April says, “My baby Hazel is so sweet and such a patient girl. She loves to be rubbed and given attention. She’s very quiet, aware of her surroundings, and tries to avoid getting in your way. She communicates her wants very clearly such as wanting to eat, play, or go outside. You’ll definitely fall in love with her. I would like to connect with someone who loves pets and has patience with pets. Hazel is a loving pet and loves to be spoiled with belly and back rubs.”
