Novella is a member of the US Army who is currently on assignment overseas until 2/19/2021. Novella’s dog, Wiggles, has been staying with her daughter since February 2020, but unfortunately due to increased demands on her working and family life, is unable to continue caring for little Wiggles. Wiggles needs a foster near Akron, OH, starting ASAP until 2/19/2021.
Wiggles is a 3 year old, 18lbs, neutered male Shih-Tzu mix. He is microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Wiggles is a little dog with big personality. He is friendly with kids, but doesn’t have much experience socializing with other pets. Wiggles will bark when he’s anxious or stressed, and may steal shoes or socks and hide them in his bed. Wiggles is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, heel, down, and “potty time!” Novella says, “He loves to have someone chase him and he will try to hide from you. He loves to play tug-a-war with his rope toys. He will also get up on two hind legs to let me know he want some food. He also, will place socks under him at times at night in bed. He loves to take over my chair or space where I sit. Wiggles may need a home that loves and can spend decent amount of time with him. When he has been fed during day, playtime, and potty time, he generally will lay in your lap without any problem. He does not like yelling or negative tones. He is a happy and playful dog that needs consistency in what you do for him.”
