Nicholas is a veteran and is currently employed by the US Air Force. His work will be taking his family overseas for the next few years. They originally planned to bring their dog, Murphy, with them, but due to their destination country’s quarantine requirements, Murphy will have to stay stateside for a few more months before he can join his family overseas. Murphy will need a foster near Temecula, CA, from 9/25/2020 – 2/9/2021.
Murphy is a 5 year old, 15 lbs, neutered male Dachshund/terrier mix. Murphy is microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and flea/tick prevention. Murphy is best suited to a home without other pets and small children. He likes the quiet life, and he loves to be the center of attention. Murphy is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, lay down, roll over, shake, and will sit pretty if you say “uppy” with a treat in hand! Nicholas says, “He is a very sweet boy, loves to cuddle, and loves chasing lizards! He also loves chasing a cat laser around the house, and this can entertain him for hours! The best foster for Murphy would be a quiet couple, or a single person who has lots of love and attention to give. He is a very low-maintenance dog, but he only requires to be close to you or cuddled up next to you. Someone or a couple that would give him lots of love in our absence.”
