Jean is a member of the US Army who will be going on overseas assignment from 1/1/2021 – 1/15/2022. Jean is having trouble finding a great foster or two for her lovable pups, Scout and Sadie, near their home in Green Ridge, MO. PACT is looking for one or two great foster families to give Scout and Sadie a great year!
Scout is an 11 year old, 60lbs, neutered male Pointer mix. Scout is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Scout is leash and crate trained and knows commands for sit and stay. Scout is a skittish old man and would do best in a home with a retired person. He has separation anxiety, and will need to be kenneled when his foster isn’t home. He is particularly scared of thunderstorms, and Jean will provide medication and CBD treats to give him as needed. He LOVES women, but can be a little slow to trust men. Scout should be in a home with his sister Sadie or no other pets. Jean says, “Scout has a very judgmental face. But then he ‘smiles’. If he were human, he would be the snooty butler.”
Sadie is a 6 year old, 60lbs, spayed female American Staffordshire Terrier. She is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Sadie is leash and crate trained and knows commands for sit and stay. The great thing about Sadie is that she’s a copycat – if there’s another adult dog in the home, she’ll take her queues from them as far as behavior and habits! She loves to play and take walks with her person. Jean says, “Sadie just wants to be included with a family (human or animal). She’s a bed hog and refuses to move once she’s in bed.”
