Zachary is a member of the US National Guard and is preparing for an overseas assignment from 4/20/2021 – 4/18/2022. Zach has been unable to find a foster for his dog, Indy, near their home in Hanover, MD.
Indy is a 6 month old, 40lbs, spayed female Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix. Indy is up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Indy does well with other dogs and cats, and Zach would love for her to have a doggy companion in her foster home to make sure she’s well socialized this year. Indy is still a puppy, and is learning all of her obedience training. Indy has been crate trained, is working on her leash manners, and knows commands for sit, stay, down, and paw. Indy will need a foster who is willing to work with her on her obedience training and energy. She is very energetic and will need daily exercise in the form of structure walks/runs/hikes/or bike rides. Zach says, “She plays hard and crashes even harder. When she naps she will fall asleep anywhere and is too cute. Also she’s very curious about new things and wants to meet everyone!”
