Siren Needs a Foster Near Madison, WI!

Victoria is a member of the US National Guard and is preparing for a tour that will take her away from her Madison, WI, home from 5/1/2021 – 4/30/2022. Victoria is hoping to find a great, temporary family to take care of her beautiful pup, Siren, while she is away serving our country.

Siren is a 4 year old, 55lbs, spayed female Siberian Husky.  Siren is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention.  Siren is crate trained and working on her leash manners, so she does pull on leash, especially if she sees a squirrel or rabbit on a walk.  Siren knows commands for sit, lay down, wait, heel, come, shake, and stay, though in typical Husky fashion, she may choose to listen or not depending on what kind of treats you have on offer!  Siren is a great dog who can be trusted out of her crate in the home for up to 8 hours, but she has her limits as well.  Siren finds pen caps, remotes, and open trash cans extremely tempting, so chewables other than her toys should be put up and out of her reach when her foster isn’t home to supervise her.  She may also guard her food, so best to feed her away from other dogs.  Siren has been raised alongside other dogs and cats, and gets along well with both in the home.  She LOVES kids, and Victoria hopes for an active home for her to play and explore.  Victoria says, “Siren is an absolute princess and loves to beg for attention. She is independent and sassy like a typical husky, but she is very loving and is excellent with kids.  Siren would be great as a family dog. She loves playing with kids and she has lived with other dogs and cats in the past and gets along great with them both.”
