James is a member of the US Army and received a short-notice assignment that will take him away from his Pittsburgh, PA, home from 4/15/2021 – 1/1/2022. James has been having trouble finding a foster for his dog, Maverick, on short-notice, and has reached out to PACT for assistance.
Maverick is a 3 year old, 140lbs, neutered male Great Dane/Mastiff mix. Maverick is up to date on his vaccinations. Maverick has been crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, stay, wait, paw, and hugs. Maverick has done well playing with other dogs in the past, but James always provides extra supervision as Maverick sometimes doesn’t understand how big he is! James is hoping that there is a great, big-dog loving foster home out there without young kids or other dogs that Maverick might accidentally knock over. James says, “Maverick has a big ole blockhead and loves to act like a lap dog even though he’s 140lbs. Loves toys and to grab socks if he can get to them.”
