Amanda is a member of the US Navy and has been scheduled for overseas assignment from 7/28/2021 – 4/14/2022. Amanda had a friend who was supposed to watch her dogs, Anna and Bleu, while she’s away, but they unfortunately had to back out at the last minute. Amanda is now desperate to find a foster for Anna and Bleu near their home in San Diego, CA.
Anna is a 3 year old, 35lbs, spay-pending female Husky mix. Anna is scheduled to be spayed in the coming weeks. Anna is up to date on her vaccinations! She can be quite timid at first, but once she gets to know you, she’ll be a super lovebug. Anna loves to snuggle under blankets and pillows. In fact, getting under things is sort of a specialty – she also likes to dig under the fence, or just dig a hole to lay in and keep cool in the San Diego heat. Anna is still working on her leash manners, but she is crate trained and knows commands for sit, paw, and lay down. Amanda says, “She is fluffy and loves to be outside with you. She likes to sleep under the bed at night.”
Bleu is a 4 year old, 50lbs, neutered male Labrador/Australian Shepherd mix. Bleu is up to date on his vaccinations. Bleu has a good loud bark that can be intimidating to new people or dogs on walks – but he’s just excited and wants to say hello! He is crate trained and knows commands for sit, lay down, paw, spin, roll over. Bleu does get a bit of separation anxiety, and should be crated near his sister when a foster family is out of the home. Amanda says, “He loves attention and likes to be on your lap. He is a sweetheart once he gets comfortable around you. He is my every thing. So is Anna.”
