Jaelynn and Edgar are members of the US Navy who are changing stations overseas.  They planned to bring their awesome dog Koda with them, but due to summer temperatures, airlines are not flying dogs at this time.  Our Navy servicemembers are now looking for a foster for Koda starting 7/25/2021 through 9/30/2021, when hopefully temperatures will be low enough for Koda to fly out and be with them once again.  Koda is currently in New Bern, NC!
Koda is a 3 year old, 50lbs, spayed female Husky mix.  Koda is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, and her flea/tick/heartworm prevention.  Koda is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit and lay down.  Koda used to guard her food at meal times, so Jaelynn and Edgar now have a strict routine for her feedings.  Koda needs to be the only pet in the household.  Koda loves to go for walks or runs.  Jaelynn says, “Koda is very sweet. she matches your energy level most of the time. She doesn’t bark. Sometimes she gets super excited and just runs in circles for a bit. She is very important to us.”
