Brad is a member of the US Navy who will be overseas for the next several years. He and his family intend to bring over their dog, Hobbes, to join them at their new station in the next year, but their original care plan for Hobbes in the meantime has not worked out. Now Brad is looking for a caring home for Hobbes near Chesapeak, VA, from 8/22/2021 – 8/22/2022.
Hobbes is a 10 year old, 60 lbs, spayed female Shepherd mix. Hobbes is up to date on her vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and she has her own pet health insurance plan! Hobbes is crate trained but does pull pretty hard on leash and will need a strong handler, especially if she sees a little squirrel! She knows commands for sit, stay, come, down, up, and off. Brad says, “If she is begging simply say “Ladies don’t beg” and she will stop. She’s our special girl!”
