Mandy is a citizen in San Jose, CA, who has been undergoing physical medical care and will need surgery and recovery from 8/9/2021 – 8/8/2022. Mandy’s family has been providing care for her dog, Atticus, but due to work and time constraints, they aren’t able to give him the attention he really needs as a young dog. Atticus needs a great foster ASAP until his mom is well enough to have him at home again!
Atticus is a 1 year old, 13lbs, neutered male Chihuahua mix. Atticus is up to date on his vaccinations and heartworm prevention. He is leash trained and knows how to sit on commands. Atticus is still a puppy and will need a foster who is willing to give him affection, but also structure and some help with his basic obedience training. Atticus has been using puppy pads in the home when his caretakers aren’t available to walk him regularly. He does well with kids, and plays with other small dogs outside of the home, but has never lived with another dog or cat. Mandy says, “Atticus is friendly and loving. His perfect foster would be anyone who is loving, patient, and willing to play.”
