Chris is a member of the US Marines who will be changing stations with his family. The family will be waiting on housing for 6 to 9 months during this time, and will not be able to have their sweet dog, Roach, with them during this lapse in housing. Roach will need a foster near Jacksonville, NC, from 10/10/2021 – 6/10/2022.
Roach is a 5 year old, 90lbs, neutered male German Shepherd mix. Roach is up to date on his vaccinations, and takes CBD chews for anxiety and salmon oil daily. Roach is leash and crate trained and knows commands for stay, sit, lay down, come, and bedtime. Roach does get a little separation anxiety and does best in his crate with a CBD treat when his family is away from home. Roach gets anxious around other dogs in the home, but does great at the park once or twice a week. Roach loves young kids and is very gentle, but must be the only pet in the home. Chris says, “He is a puppy in a 5 year old dog’s body. He loves to be around people! He will lay on you if you are sitting in his spot on the couch. He has a very funny attitude when ignored. AMAZING with our 7 month old baby!”
