Look at these two pups! Can you handle the cuteness?

They currently are in Bakersfield, CA.  Placement near Los Angeles, CA is most desired. The owner would appreciate transport assistance to any other foster locations if possible.

The owner desires that both Figgy & Nova are placed together while she is deployed overseas with the National Guard.

Figgy Fur Facts

Female Dog, 2 yrs old, approx. 10lbs. High energy/hyper. Healthy. No issues with thunderstorms or fireworks.

Loves people. A home without cats or young kids is required. Older children who can be respectful around dogs are fine. A home with an easy-going dog or one would ignore them is also acceptable. Figgy’s only caution is with food; she doesn’t appreciate when you reach down and try to take food away from her; a solution to this food aggression is to offer to ‘trade’ that food item for a treat and then Figgy will calmly part with that item.

Fun Facts:

Figgy is a blast! She is a bundle of energy and loves to run around and play outside. She also ‘talks to you’ (or at you) by barking, so any foster should be willing to engage in a conversation with her. Figgy likes to sleep in bed with her owner, under the covers, loves to cuddle & makes for a dear family member.

Nova Fur Facts:

Female Dog, Border Collie Mix, 11 yrs old, approx. 25lbs. Low energy. Healthy. No issues with thunderstorms or fireworks.

Loves people. A home without cats or young kids is required. Older children who can be respectful around dogs are fine. A home with an easy-going dog or one would ignore them is also acceptable.

Nova had a rough beginning to her life before her mom adopted her but incredibly, this senior pup is sweet and loving. Because of this, she cannot be crated; she happily sleeps on her doggie bed or the floor. She is unlike other Border Collies in that she is super calm, doesn’t like to play, and prefers to spend her day resting, sleeping, or curled up in someone’s lap. Her favorite past-times are people watching out of the window or sunbathing. Like Figgy, she also likes to have conversations with her people. She can be around other dogs at the dog park but cannot be around dominant dogs as that will stress her out. She is very low maintenance and stays out of trouble except when she’s left alone and the kitchen trash is within reach (alone time = food shopping!!! Yum!)
