Placement dates: 3/31/22 -1/10/25* (More than one foster can split this 3-year term, if desired. Owner would love to transport the dog to Germany)

Desired placement location: Currently in Missouri. Willing to consider foster homes elsewhere and fly dogs in the US; willing to accept transport offers from foster.

Basic Fur Facts:

Dog, Lab/Great Dane Mix, 92bs. 11 years old. Medium energy. House trained. Sleeps through thunderstorms and loud noises.

Loves people and non-alpha dogs. Lives with toddlers and young children—no exposure to cats.

Fun Facts:

This big baby (he thinks he’s a lap dog) loves to cuddle and get lots of attention. He takes more after his Lab side vs. his Great Dane side, goes to the dog park regularly, and loves all dogs except those that try to dominate him (so a home without an alpha is required). Due to his age, he only goes for short walks, and while he still loves to play, it is only in short spurts. That said – if he sees an opportunity, he may try to escape; this and his response around dominant dogs are his only caution. He can pull on his leash, so the foster needs to be able to manage a dog of his size.

His grandmother says that whoever takes him in will not regret it; he is generally a very quiet boy, just barks to let you know someone is at the door or if he meets someone he doesn’t know, but he is very loving, good, and kind with people.
