FUN FACTS:
Start your day off right with morning kisses from Mila!
Mila is an adorable little ball of fur who loves kids and dogs. She is interested in hanging with kitties but senses they may not be into her, so she leaves them alone. She loves to play with small dogs, and while she has shown interest & approached large dogs at the dog park, once the big dog starts taking her up on her invitation, she gets scared and hides. That said – she’s stayed with a large dog (and two cats) while her owner was on vacation, and everything was fine.
She is perfectly safe around little kids and loves to cuddle with them, play, and get petted, but prospective fosters should know that when she gets excited, she does jump up, and not every young child is comfortable with a dog who jumps high enough to be at their eye level. It is also worth noting that Mila does get anxious in the car (short & long rides) but once given a calming treat, she settles down. She also barks a bit, but it isn’t excessive – she’ll alert you to someone at the door or dogs/people/cars passing by, but she settles down pretty quickly. She also doesn’t like being left alone in the morning, so she will howl her displeasure at your departure.
Mila is excellent and asks to be let outside to potty – she will either beg at the door or jump up to let you know she’s serious. Mila’s breed requires a good walk and some playtime to expel her energy, but so long as that happens, she doesn’t need much else besides love and cuddles. She enjoys running around the yard and playing ball, so she is bound to have fun with kids and dogs.
She does like to chew, but so long as her chew toys are available to her, she will not chew on anything she’s not supposed to. Her owner crates her when she’s at work or running errands longer than a quick trip to the supermarket. She also crates her at night, and Mila is perfectly fine being in her crate for these times, so long as she gets in her walk and cuddle time. Then in the morning, she will greet you with paws on your shoulders and “good morning kisses.” What more could you ask for in a great foster pet!
