Lily the 5-year-old Australian Shepherd Mix is a total sweetheart who loves people, including children of all ages, and other dogs. Her owner received permanent change of station orders to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, and will be staying in a hotel while awaiting on-base housing.
Are you within 4 hours of Tacoma, WA, and open to helping Lily out for the next 9 months or so? It’s possible her family will receive housing sooner than the estimated wait, but for now, she is looking for a foster home from November 11, 2022 – August 5, 2023.

Fun Facts
Lily is a sweet, affectionate family dog who loves everyone and is very gentle with her 10-month-old infant sibling. She is a super playful girl who enjoys fetch, running in the yard and being outdoors on walks and hikes. Lily loves to be petted and cuddled and is very intelligent and eager to please – she knows commands like “Wait,” and “Okay!” and will do tricks for treats!
Lily loves people so much that she sometimes can’t control her eagerness to meet new friends and may jump up to greet them. She is currently working on leash manners and can also jump quite high, so her foster home should have a fenced yard higher than 4 feet.
Lily loves to play with other dogs and is a happy-go-lucky pup. She is normally very submissive, but if dominant dogs get too aggressive toward her, she will protect herself by letting them know when she has had enough.
