Mitchell is a single member of the US Air Force. He is scheduled for training from 8/10/2020 – 9/20/2020 and is looking for a great foster for his dog, Niles, near his home in Clarksville, TN. Niles is very close with Mitchell and his children, and he’s doing everything he can to find affordable housing for Niles during the month that he will be away. Can you give Niles a place to stay?
Niles is a 2 year old, 70 lbs, neutered male Great Pyrenees mix. He is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Niles is great with kids of all ages and other dogs of all kinds, though Mitchell thinks he’d do best with other large dogs. Niles is good on a leash and knows commands for sit and lay down – he listens best to someone with an assertive voice, but also takes commands easily from Mitchell’s five year old daughter! Niles can have a touch of separation anxiety, and because he’s not crate trained, PACT is hoping to find a foster who is working from home through the duration of his month-long stay. He’s good in the yard, especially with another dog around, but may jump a fence to chase some wildlife. Mitchell says of his buddy, “something special to me is that he will very rarely lick to show affection. He will only lay his head in your lap or nuzzle at your hand. He will also try to catch a ball with his front paws first before his mouth. A great fit would be a home with kids to play with and even another strong dog to keep his attention and company. Someone that is home most of the time, maybe likes to run. Niles loves going on runs.”
