Gordon is a senior citizen in Marietta, GA, who has been experiencing what may be the toughest year of his life. Gordon lost his wife at the beginning of 2020, and now finds himself in the hospital with no one to help care for his dogs, Bella and Beau. He adopted the pups with his wife 6 years ago from a local shelter, and not being able to care for them now is hitting him hard. With good results from his treatment, Gordon should be independent again by 3/15/2021. He is hoping against hope for a kind and loving family to take in Bella and Beau while he heals. The dogs are currently at a kennel facility near Marietta, but cannot stay there for long.
Bella is a 9 year old, 70 lbs, spayed female Labrador mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Bella is a great low-energy companion. She loves to be with her people and snuggle up against a leg for pets and to gaze up at you with her adorable puppy eyes. Bella does well with other dogs, though she can get intimidated by large groups of dogs or highly energetic youngsters, so a home with only one other dog would be ideal for her. She walks nicely on leash and knows commands for come and stay.
Beau is an 8 year old, 70lbs, neutered male Labrador mix. He is also up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Beau is a bit more playful and energetic than his sister, and loves his chew toys. Beau is great with other dogs, but especially loves to snuggle up with Bella at the end of a fun day. He is a bit of a puller on leash and knows commands for sit and stay. Beau is a playful and loving dog who would do best in a home that could accept Bella and Beau together and take them out for a nice walk each day, or play with them in the yard.
