Jennifer is a citizen in Denver, CO, who will be seeking treatment for medical illness from 1/7/2021 – 3/21/2021. Jennifer is hoping to find a great foster for her dog, Sophie, near their home so that she can focus on her recovery.
Sophie is a 5 year old, 53 lbs, spayed female German Shepherd dog. She is up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Sophie is great with other dogs and people, but loves to chase cats. She can be defensive of her food bowl, so Jennifer always feeds her away from other pets. Sophie is energetic and loves to go for walks and trips to the dog park. Sophie knows commands for sit, wait, high 5, shake, and down. Jennifer says, “Sophie is a ball of energy that absolutely loves people and spending time with them. When I have anxiety or panic attacks she always comes over to make sure I’m ok. She is an amazing hiking buddy and loves exploring nature – she WILL chase squirrels. I think if she had thumbs, she would totally climb up a tree after them. I recently learned that she loves running around in snow (we’ve lived in the desert for all of her life). Sophie is an expert cuddler and loves going for walks. I literally cannot imagine my life without her.”
