Matthew and Heather are members of the US Navy and are preparing to change stations in Virginia. Their housing isn’t confirmed yet, and while the family is able to stay in a hotel this summer while they await their new home, their 100lbs pooch isn’t! Matthew and Heather are hoping to find a great, temporary home for their dog, Dash, near Norfolk, VA, from 6/1/2021 – 8/30/2021.
Dash is a 3 year old, 100 lbs, neutered male Bernedoodle. He is up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and he has been microchipped. Dash is crate and leash trained and knows commands for rollover, sit, stay, and paw. Dash lives with children under 10, and loves attention from his kids! He doesn’t have experience with other animals in the home, but does occasionally attend doggy daycare. Dash does need daily exercise, and loves a good walk or a romp in the yard. Dash may dig in the yard if left unattended, and may chew on his bed in the house if left unsupervised for a long time. Otherwise, he’s a great companion for any dog-friendly kids, or work-from-home fosters.
