Makayla is a member of the US Navy attending training from 4/4/2021- 9/15/2021. She doesn’t have nearby friends or family to care for her two dogs, Kote and Max, near their home in McDonough, GA.
Kote is a 3 year old, 18 lbs, neutered male Chiweenie. Kote is up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Kote is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, stay, jump up, and lay down. Kote will howl along when he hears sirens. He is good with other dogs, cats and kids. Kote may take a few days to warm up in a new environment, but once he does, he’ll be your favorite cuddle-bug. Makayla says, “He is super loving, sweet, and protective of his humans and other pets around. He usually is the smallest dog around but doesn’t fear any big dogs. His perfect foster family would be a family able to provide him with love and affection. He is very playful with kids so that’d be ideal, but isn’t necessary.”
Max is an under 1 year old, 25lbs, neutered male shepherd/Chihuahua mix. Max is also up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Max is still in training, but is coming along with his crate training, leash training, and sit and stay. Max was a stray that Makayla rescued, and she’s been working with him and helping him build his trust in humans. He can still be very shy, but is sweet and has made great progress with her and Kote. Max has lived with other dogs, cats, and enjoys attention from kids. Makayla says, “He is very playful and just wants love. He competes for attention when he sees other dogs getting it.”
