Michael is a member of the US Air Force and is preparing for an assignment that will take him away from his family and Layton, UT, home from 9/28/2021 – 4/30/2022. To make matters more stressful for the family, Michael’s wife Kayla will be giving birth to their first child during this assignment, and she will be moving back home with her family in TX to have support during her pregnancy and birth. Unfortunately the couple’s dog Cocoa will not be able to travel with Kayla, so the couple is now looking for a great foster in the Layton, UT, area for the duration of Michael’s assignment.
Cocoa is 1 year old, 60lbs, spayed female Black Labrador. Cocoa is up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Cocoa is crate trained, working on her leash manners, and knows commands for sit, stay, lay down, speak, and paw. She is still a puppy, so Michael and Kayla make sure to crate her before they leave for errands or work. Cocoa gets along well with cats and other dogs, and loves people. She enjoys a trip to the dog park to socialize a few days a week. Michael says, “She is the happiest puppy. She loves every person that walks by and wants attention from everyone. Even when she’s in trouble she’s happy. When it’s quiet time she’s good about laying down with you but when it’s time to play she’s ready to go”
