Eric is a member of the US Army who is preparing for a cross country move (from NC to TX) on 6/28/2021. Eric and his family will be moving on-base, and due to breed restrictions at their destination, will not be able to keep their dog, Rei, with them for about a year. Rei will need an awesome foster in Fayetteville, NC, El Paso, TX, or anywhere in between from 6/28/2021 – 6/30/2022.
Rei is a 3 year old, 60 lbs, spayed female Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention. Rei is crate and leash trained and knows commands for sit, shake, and paw. Rei is great with kids 6+ years old and smaller dogs, but can be fearful of larger, dominant dogs. Rei loves to play fetch. She can also be a very talkative dog and will need a foster who is comfortable with a vocal player. Eric says, “Rei is an extreme cuddler. She loves to lay with you on the couch or follow you around the house. She is the most loving dog I know. Rei’s perfect foster would be someone who is ok with barking and her vocalization. Someone who will love her unconditionally while we are gone. Someone who will cuddle with her and play fetch with her and treat her well. Someone who will just love her like we do.”
