Sandy is a member of the US Air Force who is currently stationed on base, and expects to be able to move off base by 8/31/2021. Sandy’s dog Biggie was being cared for by her mom while she was stationed on base, but now she is no longer able to keep him at home, leaving Biggie without a place to stay. One of Sandy’s supervisors has been kind enough to take Biggie into their home temporarily, but now Sandy is looking for a foster for Biggie for the next two months, starting ASAP – 8/31/2021 near her home in Anchorage, AK.
Biggie is an 8 year old, 7 lbs, neutered male Chihuahua. Biggie is microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. Biggie has lived with other dogs, cats, and kids, and Sandy would prefer a home with other smaller dogs or gentle large dogs for Biggie. Biggie is very timid in a new environment and will need a compassionate foster to give him some time to adjust to their home. Sandy says, “He is a very quiet and shy dog. He loves to cuddle and just be near a person once he gets comfortable and trusts them. His perfect foster would be preferably a person who has experience caring for a dog. Someone who has patience and understanding. Biggie is a very shy and timid dog and needs extra reassurance and love to break him out of his shell.”
